This summer I want to try something new on MMC. Since I am posting a lot of my original content on MinistryCom and linking from here, I’d like to switch things up a bit and see if we can’t do some coaching on the MMC site. For the past couple of years I have been coaching churches confidentially through Ministry Marketing Coach, it has been fun and really gets my energy going (I like a challenge). So here’s the deal, what if I offer to your church a little free coaching, via the MMC Blog? All you would have to do is allow me to post the coaching advice on the Blog for the entire world to see.

Here is how the Free Ministry Marketing Coaching would work:

First, you need to be a good match for our core theological beliefs see the FAQ section scroll to the bottom. We support the work of Bible-believing Christian churches, Christian organizations and Christian-focused businesses that embrace traditional Christian theology only.

Next, you would need to complete this form to get free coaching through the blog write on the form where it says “What specific results do you want to obtain from working with me as a marketing coach?” Write what you would like me help you understand, and also write that you want free coaching through the blog.

Important: This won’t be a telephone conference call. All the coaching will be via the blog. Sorry, I won’t be able to call you unless you want to set up a paid coaching session.

After you click “submit” the site will take you to a payment page, if you are doing the free coaching, just ignore it. Unless of course you just love giving me money!

You Get Out What You Put Into the Coaching Process

The coaching session is only effective if you take the coaching questionnaire seriously by getting detailed and specific when you fill it out. It is very important that you give me some specifics on what you are looking for from me in the coaching. The other questions help me get an idea of where you might make improvements or what strengths you can build on. Often people find just filling out the form helps them a lot. If you help me understand your needs (by being specific and detailed) I can give you my best effort.

When I get your completed questionaire, I will look at your submission, prepare a post (it might take a couple days) I will post the “coaching session” live on MMC and email the link to you too. The reason you need to go public is so our readers can see what your needs are and can learn too. You’d be surprised how often ministry leaders struggle with the exact same problems, but don’t talk about them with others. This could be like therapy for frustrated communicators.

Also, since the comments will be open, others may want to chime in with some sound advice as well. (Note: I do moderate comments) Please include relevant links and images that relate your needs in the coaching session.

**For the record, of course I reserve the right not to coach any applicant without giving an explanation. Also, I reserve the right to pace the number of requests according to my schedule; after all I want to have a vacation this summer too. And last, everyone, please keep your hands and feet inside the boat for your safety!

Let’s get started!
