Chances are right now your church is in one of two categories. Either you are planning an event you want to get the word out about in your community, or you have just finished one. Many ministry leaders would like to get people who are not yet reached with the gospel interested in their events and programs so they can learn about faith in Christ. Everyone wants to create a little buzz for the gospel. We are buzzing the great commission!
Most ministry leaders are good at communicating powerfully to people once they are inside their church, but they trouble attracting unchurched people. They are good at preaching and planning ministry activities. But they have trouble keeping their members involved and motivated to bring their friends,
How can you get your message outside the walls of your church and to the unchurched people of your community? How can you get your church members excited about your church so that they get more involved and invite more people? How can you get the buzz you need about your events when you need it? Very few churches can afford the expense of paying for advertising. Is there any way to get the word out effectively without paying too much money?
And if you do advertise, how do you know if you are doing the right things when you are promoting? How do you know if what you did do to promote your event was what worked to attract people? Maybe people came in spite of your promotion!
Stay tuned, for the next few weeks I am going to spotlight some low-cost/no cost ways to promote your church’s ministry.
