This Spring some changes are in store for MMC that, as I said in an earlier post, will help fulfill the vision I have always had to serve ministries in ways that make them more effective. Also, these changes will help me as I begin to expand my focus in blogging to talk a bit more about general nonprofit marketing.
Over the past year I have been exploring more possible ways I can help make a difference in the world. And like a lot of other ministry leaders, I have noticed the growing need for communication help that targets the concerns of faith-based nonprofits. My interest in communications and marketing includes ministry as a major focus–but I am also involved in general social sector communication work.
My New Book Project: Guerrilla Marketing for Nonprofits
Earlier this year, I was blessed with the chance to further deepen my involvement in general nonprofit marketing when I signed a contract to work with two other authors to write a new book “Guerrilla Marketing for Nonprofits.” The other authors are Jay Conrad Levinson and Frank Adkins. The book will be published by Entrepreneur Press sometime in the Winter or early next year.
We will keep you posted here about the book. I am exited about this new project because the Guerrilla series books have really helped me over the years and I have been a big fan of them. I have read almost all of them. Working with the folks at GM is a dream come true for me!
I will be starting a new nonprofit Guerrilla Marketing blog soon at gmnonprofits.com For now, please join the Guerrilla Marketing for Nonprofits Facebook group
New Relationships, New Possibilities
But with all the off line writing I am about to be doing, and the need I have for blogging on the topic of general nonprofit marketing to help raise awareness about the upcoming book, I wondered how I could manage it all and still keep the momentum of MMC going.
About the time all this was happening, my friend Kerry Bural told me he was starting a new group (see the news release below) that is dedicated to helping ministry leaders take their communication to the next level.
We started a conversation that led us to the mutual conviction that the timing and common interests we shared lead to the conclusion that we have a real potential to increase the scale of impact in ministry communications by working more together rather than separately. So, I have entered into a new strategic relationship with my friend’s new group.
The new strategic relationship is with The Resonate Group and they enable the MMC blog to continue with helpful ministry communication topics and also amplify the breadth of services offered through the site as well.
The Resonate Group now officially is the owner of MMC and will be working with the blog moving forward, I will be supporting the work of the group on MMC and participating in the future we are forging with God’s leadership.
The Resonate Group Helps Ministries Gain Momentum
Over the next few posts I am going to introduce you to the new coaches who are now aligned to help your ministry with your greatest communication needs. Then, they will begin also blogging here on the MMC blog. I will still chime in from time to time, but because of the heavy writing schedule I have, they are going to help keep the conversation we have been having here at MMC going.
For Immediate Release:
To grow ministries in tough economic times, The Resonate Group employs strategic and creative brand development expertise.
Nashville, Tenn., April 13, 2009—As ministries face shrinking resources in today’s economic climate, the need to expand their audience by diversifying marketing channels and funding sources has intensified.
The recently launched Resonate Group understands that now, more than ever, ministries need to employ proven strategies and technologies for developing their brand and reaching their goals.
“Our heart is to help ministries move to the next level, gain momentum and enlarge their footprint through creative, strategic and well-executed brand development,” says Kerry Bural, principal of the group.
As “ministry architects and builders,” the group unleashes their talents through creative, strategic and consultation services to help ministries shape their vision and mission into meaningful and innovative brands that resonate.
The Resonate Group has a wide range of experience, wearing multiple hats in various brand development roles and industries. Their core competencies include branding, web design and development, strategic consulting, design, marketing, environmental design and PR.
The group considers their work a divine calling.
