We continue with part two of our interview with new MMC Head Coach Kerry Bural.
MMC: Tell me about your team.
KB: The Resonate team is truly unbelievable. I’m so blessed to be surrounded by some reaaaaalllly talented and passionate people. One of the things I determined early in this journey was that team diversity was critical to serve our diverse clientele. So we’ve purposely scouted team members with various skill-sets, personalities, ministry experience, etc.
We think this translates into higher quality for our clients and dramatically improves our ability to help them in numerous ways. The Lord has graciously brought us some great team members.
One thing to keep in mind about the team is that we have core team members whose photos and bios are posted on our main site, but we also have about 15 other team members (including Chris) we pull in as needed . This gives us tremendous scalability in working with our ministries and churches. As they grow and their needs change, so do we.
MMC: What is your greatest ministry passion?
KB: My salvation experience as a messed up teen was off the charts! As a result, I’ve become more and more energized by working with ministries to help them move to the next level, gain momentum and expand their footprint. As we partner with them, and they reach more and more people with the incredible hope and life-transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ, we are impacting the Kingdom indirectly through them. That gets our team stoked!
In my view, many ministries have yet to realize the power of brand development or to understand how to leverage that power. The Resonate Group is all about taking away the mystery of branding and helping ministries incorporate it into their strategic development grid. We want their influence to expand so more and people will have the opportunity to respond to Jesus and then become disciple-making disciples.
MMC: What is the plan for the MMC blog? Will it continue?
KB: We are still talking about what all needs to happen with MMC. We definitely plan to continue it as a blog, but we’re just trying to decide how best to serve you and where to go from here. Chris has done an excellent job throughout the years and has been a blogging machine!
We are excited for him about his new venture as Guerrilla Marketing for Non-profits author and speaker. He will continue to blog at MMC but will also be deep into his new venture gmnonprofits.com. We are thankful for his trust in The Resonate Group that we will take care of his MMC baby.
Our immediate goal is to introduce you to the team and to get them rollin’ on posting some things they want to talk about that we hope will be helpful to you. Soon we will also try to improve the functionality and do some visual tuneup work. So, change is coming!
We really value your input and hope you will take time to give us feedback and to tell us what we can do to serve you better. Thanks for letting us walk with you in ministry.
MMC: What is a little known interesting or fun fact about you?
A few years ago I had a moment of insanity (they seem to be more and more frequent now days) and decided to go hang-gliding. While in the air with my very experienced tandem pilot, we hit a really rough spot, tilted dramatically sideways and plummeted 30 – 40 feet so fast that we thought we were falling to the ground. It scared the pilot so much (me too!) that he immediately shifted plans, flew down and landed the glider. He claimed that he had never experienced anything like this in all the years he’d been flying having piloted over 600 tandem flights. Yes, I’d do it again!
