There’s no substitute for proper rest, diet and exercise if you want to be healthy. None. Throughout the years, I’ve learned that one the hard way.

**Rant on**

Unfortunately, the American lifestyle propagates a double-standard. On the one hand, we’re encouraged to live healthy lifestyles but then we’re given a pop-a-pill prescription for every little sniffle. And what’s up with the American “food” industry? If only a Scientist can pronounce the labels placed on the packaging, does it really qualify as “food?”

**Rant off**

In my experience of working with ministry leaders throughout the country, many of them have adopted a similar quick-fix mindset. Their initial knee-jerk reaction to the inevitable problems of ministry is very much the same. Throw some money at it, rattle off a few high-priority tasks for a team member and voilà! Problem fixed.

Or is it?

Whether it’s ten-thousand, one-hundred thousand or a million dollars, no amount of money can suffice for diligence and good old-fashioned hard work. You want spectacular results? Then pour a spectacular amount of work into what you’re building.

Great brand-building is no different.

It requires blood, sweat and tears. It’s intense and there are no shortcuts. None. Period.

How true! I think if there are two things we forget about when it comes to success, they are hard work and time. We sometimes lack work ethic, and also patience.

So true bro’ and I would add that much of that hard work should be done in the form of prayer.
    Peace,
    Jay

Excellent. We have to put action (work) to what we have faith to believe! That action…every day…produces results!!

Thanks for all your value you add in your action–content!!!

    Brandon,

I agree. And over time, it shows.

Jay, that’s a good reminder. Just imagine where we’d be if everything was saturated in prayer. Thanks for the comments.

    Kerry,

Great post. I just found your blog and it is right up my alley.

I work with so many churches that feel that they can just buy a “brand” for themselves. They may be able to hire a great logo designer or web developer, but there is so much more that goes into branding. And yes, it is LOTS of work!
