The path toward ministry growth, vibrancy and impact is littered with obstacles.
Most leaders I know struggle daily with problem after problem after problem. The more lives they touch, the more whacked out are the obstacles they face. It just comes with the territory if you’re striving to do something worthwhile in ministry.
You will run into obstacles—or they will run into you. Or both. That’s reality.
But . . . only if you’re moving forward.
Before you worry too much about the strategies needed to get you to the end zone, concern yourself with the juice needed to propel you there.
Sure, that juice is a concoction of ingredients, but the most important ingredient is motivation.
Without serious and deep motivation, the grandest vision and most thoughtful strategies will not carry you forward. That’s just the way it is.
In the ministry in which you serve, are people highly motivated to succeed? What kinds of obstacles do you face? In your view, how important is motivation in ministry?
