Church Communicators are Making Marketing Headlines–again!
By chris | June 27, 2007
I just finished reading the book “The New Rules of Marketing & PR“ by blog PR guru David Meerman Scott. I really enjoyed the book and was treated to a surprise when he almost dedicated the entire last chapter called “Make it Happen” to ministry blogger Mark Batterson (BTW: a general session speaker at MinistryCOM last year).
I read a lot of marketing books and in fact, I was just talking to a friend about how we are seeing a lot more ministry communications folks popping up in the latest books. I am glad to see Christian communication leaders holding up such a high standard that all kinds of people are taking notice. For another book that mentions Christian organizations check out the brand new book ”Go Put Your Strengths to Work“ by Marcus Buckingham that mentions the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma a great place that happens to be my day job.
